Expressive………beautiful detail capturing the essence of the Grimm feel; exquisitely composed reflecting Susan’s depth of talent.
Susan has a rich and powerful imagination and talent to create on paper what is in her mind’s eye. I agree with others that the nuance of face and position gives the painting a strong appeal to go into the book.

As a minor collector of Susan Sorrell Hill’s work, I love seeing the evolution over time. This book cover piece compels me to ask…… what is going on in this girl’s mind with this pensive look on her face. Then there is the question of the the pear with the apple, tied, no less, to the uprooted vine….. I have always found Susan’s work to be compelling.
Kudos Susan!
